On the flip side, how does Arkansas HC Sam Pittman & his QB KJ Jefferson handle losing key WR's Jadon Haselwood & Ketron Jackson, TE Trey Knox , All-SEC C Ricky Stromberg, All-SEC LB Drew Sanders, LB Bumper Pool, S Myles Slusher & their DC Barry Odom (LB Coach Michael Scherer will call plays here) who flew the coop to take the UNLV Rebels' job. I say it'll be pretty tough as they'll face a highly-motivated Jayhawks' squad that's in its 1st bowl game since 2008! It was tough luck yesterday keeping our Coastal Carolina QB Grayson McCall on the field (left for good with a 14-10 2nd qtr. lead) so Jalon Daniels (13/2 TD/INT ratio) let's stay & perform well for 4 quarters. He should be fresh since missing 6 games throughout the season. This team went toe-to-toe with TCU before losing by a TD & I expect a better showing here. While there are a few perfect trends favoring the Razorbacks, I'm leaning on Kansas' tough schedule (4th in the country) to have them seasoned for this bowl. My bottom line says even before Arkansas' key opt-outs, these same Hogs' ranked 122nd in defensive yards allowed (453 YPG). I'm rolling with the KANSAS JAYHAWKS (buying to + 7 1/2) as my 9 Star Underdog Of The Day! Tuesday, December 27, 2022 Georgia Southern vs. Buffalo (NCAAF) - 12:00 PM EST Premium Pick Pick: Money Line: -215 Georgia Southern Rating: 10* Mike's CFB Prime Mover (LOSS) There's nobody that knows or who will be more motivated for this game than Eagles' QB Kyle Vantrease (3,934 passing yards, 61.1% completions & a 26/15 TD/INT ratio). He's a 6th-year senior but more importantly played his 1st 5 seasons ironically for today's opponent, the Buffalo Bulls (had just 8 TD passes with them LY). Vantrease is no stranger to this bowl as he was under center for them in 2020's game, a 17-10 win over Marshall. HC Maurice Linguist (2nd season & is 10-14 SU currently) doesn't have Vantrease back or many veterans for this one as he came into the season with just 9 starters combined on both sides of the ball. However, they do have a very talented kicker in Alex McNulty, a Lou Groza Award semi-finalist who kicked a record 21 FG's. Even though both teams enter in @ 6-6 SU, it's hard to fathom how Buffalo lost @ home to FCS Holy Cross 37-31. In contrast, I loved the way 1st-year HC Clay Helton (who inherited a 3-9 SU team & is the former USC HC) went toe-to-toe with Appalachian State for a gut-wrenching 51-48 double-OT win in their season finale as well as handling a good James Madison squad 45-38 as 12-point dogs. What I also like about this matchup is GSU chiming in @ 4th in passing @ 327.8 YPG. The Bulls have shown their vulnerability against Maryland & Coastal Carolina earlier allowing a combined 580 yards through the air. My bottom line looks @ some key numbers that show the Eagles being 2-0 as favorites as well as 4-1 ATS in non-conference games & the same record on field turf. Buffalo has not done well speadwise on field turf going an opposite 1-4. Georgia Southern ranks 18th in total offense, ranks 30th in scoring offense & 37th in YPP (Yards Per Point). In contrast, the Bulls sit @ - 1.1 in YPP margin which ranks 119th out of 131 & that was taking on the 120th-toughest schedule. We're ready to go to the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, AL for the Camellia Bowl to play the team with the coaching edge, the GEORGIA SOUTHERN EAGLES on the ML as my 10 Star CFB Prime Mover! East Carolina vs. Coastal Carolina (NCAAF) - 6:45 PM EST Premium Pick Pick: Point Spread: +7/-105 Coastal Carolina Rating: 9* 9 Star CFB Bowl Barking Out Loud Dogger (LOSS) Everyone's reading a little bit too much into HC Jamie Chadwell leaving for Liberty is a downer. DC Chad Staggs (interim coach) is more than capable of running the show & getting his team revved up to play here. They play a very weak East Carolina "D" that's lost some opt outs. This is the 3rd straight bowl for Coastal Carolina & QB Grayson McCall (24/2 TD/INT ratio) is more than capable for matching points with Holton Ahlers (23/5 TD/INT ratio) . The Chanticleers 2 bowls were 1 score outcomes with a 37-34 & 47-41 final. Let's go to Protective Stadium in Birmingham, AL for the Birmingham Bowl to play the COASTAL CAROLINA CHANTICLEERS (buying to + 11 1/2) as my 9 Star CFB Bowl Barking Out Loud Dogger!
