Quintana should be hungry to erase the past few weeks as well as enjoying a Cincinnati team that's struggled mightily with a 14-39 road record versus LHP. This fits like a glove with the Cubs showing their superiority on the mound with a 5.26 to 3.97 team ERA advantage. My bottom line points out the fact that the pretender Reds haven't showed up of late versus winning teams where they've dropped 10 of their past 12 chances in that category. Manager Joe Maddon should have a focused Cubbies' squad since St. Louis has turned the heat on high in the hotly-contested NL Central race. Saturday, August 12, 2017 Atlanta Braves vs. St Louis Cardinals (MLB) - 7:15 PM EDT Premium Pick Pick: Money Line: -225 St Louis Cardinals Pick Title: 10 Star MLB Power Surge (Win) If we can take anything away from that KC 4-game series, I believe it wakened the Cardinals' bats. Their power surge looks for real & has them right with the Cubs just 1 game back in the NL Central. They take on a Braves' team that's lost their last 6 on the road as well as their last 5 taking on teams from the NL Central. With in-experience on the mound & on the road, look for St. Louis to enhance their mastery versus the NL East which currently sits @ a lights-out 21-7. They take on the same Atlanta club that's lost to the Phillies close to 90% of the time. Here's my bottom line. For the 2017 season, the Cardinals have won all 4 in this series. After dissecting those meetings, St. Louis has mastered the wahoos to the tune of 29 runs to 12! I don't see their train coming to an abrupt halt just yet. There's nothing better than facing an Angels' team that's only hit southpaws @ a .238 for the season. Whether people take notice or not, these Seattle Mariners are right there for the last Wild Card slot taken in the AL. Paxson has shown great mechanics throughout his streak & I feel facing a mediocre LA lineup is just what the doctor ordered. My bottom line says Seattle should get enough run support for Paxson to notch another "W" & keep them right in contention.
