Al McMordie CASHED his Interleague Game of the Year Sunday on the Underdog Braves and has his 1st Half Total of the Year today. Pick it up and clean up on this Friday.
Al McMordie is the most honored technical handicapper in the country. In 2007, Big Al won the $100,000 World Series of Sports Handicapping and also finished #1 in March Madness. In 2004, Al won the most prestigious handicapping contest in Las Vegas -- The Stardust Invitational. Overall, in the last 16 years, Big Al has garnered 34 NUMBER ONE awards in Football, Basketball, and Baseball; 133 Top 5 finishes; and 250 Top 10 finishes. Al is a featured handicapper both on National TV and Radio, as well as at the most prestigious gambling web sites. Additionally, in 2002, Big Al was featured in FHM Magazine.
In 2000, Al was 157-114 in football, including 10-0 (100%) in the NFL Playoffs. Al has won 12 of his 16 football seasons. Another highlight of Al's career came in 1997, when Big Al was ranked #1 by SPORTS WATCH in College Football/NFL Win Percentage and #1 in College Football Regular Season/Bowls by THE SPORTS MONITOR. Al has one of the best basketball records over the past 16 seasons (winning 13 of 16 years), and was ranked #1 in baseball for the 1996 and 2001 seasons. For consistency across all three sports, you can count on Al McMordie.
Indeed, the Las Vegas Sporting News recognized Al in its December 17, 1996 issue, and wrote that: "[Al's] honesty, integrity, [and] skills...are obvious....We have been impressed by [his] uncanny ability to pick big underdogs that win the game straight-up....We've seen handicappers come and go, and get hot and cold, but no one has been as consistent over time as McMordie, and we strongly urge you to consider him as your handicapper."
Besides being a champion handicapper, Al McMordie is a corporate attorney, earning his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs (MLB) - 8:05 PM EDT

Pick: Money Line: -144 Chicago Cubs Pick Title: BIG AL's MAJOR LEAGUE DIVISION GAME OF THE MONTH!
Win
Click Here to View Pick Analysis
At 8:05pm our NL Central Game of the Month is on the Chicago Cubs over the Milwaukee Brewers. Cubs righthanded veteran and scheduled starter for tonight's game, Ryan Dempster should be happy to be back home pitching in Wrigley Field against National League opponents once again. Four of his last five starts have been on the road and Dempster has been without a win since his home start way back on May 30 against the Dodgers (which means that Dempster went winless for the entire month of June). In fact, Dempster has not won on the road since April 12, and he's 1-4 with a 4.06 ERA away from Wrigley this season. Although his ERA is about the same at home, Dempster has a 3-1 record in six starts and generally feels more comfortable pitching there. If Chicago is going to go anywhere this season, it has to have a good series against the division-leading Brewers, who have been having their own troubles at the plate recently. Looking at their lineup, once you get past the #3 and #4 hitters, Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder, the rest is pretty much a cake-walk, as you're looking at the likes of Corey Hart (.249 BA), Joe Crede (.233 BA), JJ Hardy (.224 BA), and Jason Kendall (.226 BA). There's just not a whole lot to be concerned about in the bottom-half of Milwaukee's lineup these days. Take the Cubs. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
Arizona D-Backs vs. Cincinnati Reds (MLB) - 12:35 PM EDT
At 12:35pm our complimentary selection is on the Cincinnati Reds over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Righthanded veteran Aaron Harang is usually one of the Reds most reliable starters and that has been true for most of this season as well. Although, in Harang's last start on June 26, he had his second-worst start of the year when he went into Cleveland and gave up seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits in just 4 2/3 innings. A start at home against the Diamondbacks may be just what the doctor ordered for Harang and the Reds. Tonight's Arizona starter, veteran Doug Davis epitomizes exactly what's wrong with this team. Davis has actually been one of the better starters in the NL this season, but you'd never know it from his record. Despite a 3.28 ERA and quality starts in 10 of his 16 outings this season, Davis has a pathetic 3-8 record. Arizona combines that deadly combination of a very weak hitting lineup with extremely poor defense which usually results in a loss (hence its 31-46 record, the third-worst in the Majors). The Diamondbacks are the worst defensive team in baseball, leading all others with 71 team errors through last weekend. Cincinnati's on a bit of a roll having moved into third place in its division, ahead of the Cubs, only four games back and flirting once again with the .500 mark. Take the Reds. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

New York Mets vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB) - 12:35 PM EDT

Pick: Total: 9/-124 Under Pick Title: BIG AL's GETAWAY DAY TOTALS WINNER -- EARLY GAME.
Loss

At 12:35pm our selection is on the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates 'under' the total. There was a "Reyes sighting" in the Mets infield at the shortstop position. Unfortunately, the bad news for the Mets is that it was Argenis Reyes, not all-star Jose Reyes. Who is Argenis Reyes, you ask? Good question. After Monday's game the 26-year-old Dominican switch-hitter is batting .083, so it's safe to say that he's a far cry from the other Reyes, who is still out nursing a hamstring injury and will not be back to the team until after the all-star break. Pittsburgh must be breathing a sigh of relief as its top starter this season, Paul Maholm, just had a quality start at home after throwing back-to-back clunkers on the road. When Maholm pitches at home, runs seem to be hard to come by. In Maholm's last three starts at PNC Park, none of the games have gone more than eight runs, and a total of only 15 runs have been scored. The Mets will send journeyman Tim Redding to the mound and although the veteran righthander is 1-3 with a 6.35 ERA this season, Redding is 2-2 with a 3.79 ERA in 11 career starts against the Pirates. Take the 'under.' As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

Cleveland.com said it best: “It's time to put the puppets away. There will be no LeBron James-Kobe Bryant NBA Finals.” It looked like a shoo-in for the top two seeds to meet, setting up a Kobe/LeBron Finals. But once the Eastern Conference Finals began, you could see the Magic were a terrific team that matched up very well with the Cavs. In Game 1, Orlando shot 55% and stole the first game as a +9 ... read more
News flash: Cavaliers/Lakers in the NBA Finals. The Big 3 back in December were the Lakers out West and the Celtics and Cavs in the East. Two of those three were expected to meet in the NBA Finals. Not much has changed since, with the exception of all the injuries to key players preventing any other team from cracking that elite list.
Orlando? Certainly not a fraud, with a supers ... read more
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres (MLB) - Jul 3, 2009 10:05 PM EDT
Play: Money Line: -132 Los Angeles Dodgers Pick Title: Big Al's FREE Friday Winner.
At 10:05pm our complimentary selection is on the Los Angeles Dodgers over the San Diego Padres. Padres righthander Chad Gaudin is a bit of an enigma. He goes out and throws arguably his best start of his career in one of the toughest places to pitch in all of baseball (Arlington, Texas) last Sunday night, but only can manage a .500 record (2-2) in his home ballpark which is considered the most pitcher-friendly place to play. Now, granted, the Rangers have been in an awful power slump since losing outfielder Josh Hamilton to injury so perhaps tonight facing their division rival and best team in the National League will be a much truer test for the former Oakland starter. Other than having to face the team with the best record in the NL, Gaudin will likely have another obstacle to deal with and that is the much-anticipated return of slugger Manny Ramirez to the Majors. And the offensive spark provided by Manny's return could be just the thing that hard-luck L.A. starter Hiroki Kuroda needs. In limited action (Kuroda missed the beginning of the season due to injury), the Japanese righthander has put up some of the best numbers in the NL in every category except win percentage as, despite a 3.77 ERA and an incredible 35 Ks to just 7 walks, Kuroda is only 2-4. He is working on an amazing streak of four games -- 29 consecutive innings -- without issuing a base-on-balls. Kuroda also happens to be 3-1 in five career starts against the Padres. Take the Dodgers. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
Al McMordie CASHED BIG last night with his NL Central Game of the Month on the Cubbies over the Brewers, and has another HUGE PLAY on Friday's baseball card: It's Big Al's 1st HALF TOTAL OF THE YEAR! This MONSTER PLAY is backed by several AWESOME winning angles. Get on this GREAT play right now.
Big Al McMordie Release Times
My football plays are released as early as Monday in advance of the weekend. And some games are released closer to game time, including the day of the game. The majority of the games are released well in advance. For basketball and baseball, the plays are released overnight.
Big Al McMordie Rating System
My games are rated up to 5 stars.
Big Al McMordie Money Management
I recommend players bet a consistent amount on my plays that is NOT tied to whether their bankroll is increasing or decreasing. For example, a 5* play in December should be worth the same amount as a 5* play in September, even if one has a larger bankroll.
