Fiesta Bowl Breakdown Ohio State Buckeyes
Craig Trapp Jan 3, 2009

Well here we are again and the Ohio State Buckeyes are in another BCS bowl game. Well recent history has not been good for the Buckeyes with them losing the last two BCS National Championship games. Coach Tressell has had many sleepless nights trying to figure out why they have not been able to compete with the big boys in CFB. This year they lost against the top two teams they played (USC a ...  read more

NFL WILDCARD WEEKEND - Four Home Underdogs for the First Time Ever
Craig Trapp Jan 2, 2009
Well big surprise in all four of the home teams are underdogs. The value in this is that of course home teams in the NFL as dogs cover at a high rate and even better win straight up. This record has held true in previous wild card years, going back to 1995 home dogs are 5-1 ATS and 4-2 straight up! So don't even think about taking all four of this years teams to win with or without the points. ...  read more

BCS Bowl Trends use them to your advantage this year!
Craig Trapp Dec 29, 2008

Since the BCS system started there has been 42 games! One of those was a pick em game that was won by USC in the Rose bowl in 2007 over Michigain. Of the rest of the 41 games the underdog is 21-20 against the spread! Which is what you would expect, but what you would not expect is that of those underdogs 16 of those covers were actually wins straight up! Even more to this point is that the l ...  read more

Craig Trapp Oct 20, 2008

Love this time of year basically half way thru college and pro football. Yesterday the BCS standings were released which I think are usually not always a good power rankings or top 10. They do take several factors into account so they are close but sometimes they are just wrong. Craig uses his power ranking to help him handicap and pick games daily. Below is Craig's up to date top 10 for co ...  read more

Dallas Cowboys are they that good??
Craig Trapp Oct 10, 2008

Early in the season and preseason everyone was touting this team as the best team in football! What has happened since the loss to Washington in week #4 that has created a doubt in everyones mind??

They have been grounded the last two weeks and there offense has not had the explosive plays as often. Also the defense has been carved up by both Washington Redskins and the Cincinnati ...  read more

Craig's NCAA College Football Power Rankings TOP 10
Craig Trapp Oct 6, 2008

Well have not put out power rankings until after week 6! Most great handicappers usually have there own power rankings so they can decide who is better if played on a neutral field with no other variables. Then they add in all there variables and figure out what they would place each spread. That is how the professionals find value in games. For example Craig had Alabama right behind Georgi ...  read more

Betting baseball at the end of Regular Season
Craig Trapp Sep 23, 2008
Have you ever noticed that most people quit betting baseball at the end of the season once football starts?? Well this is a great time to selectively bet and win big. Many teams that are out of their races for there division or wild card are calling up and playing there minor leagures. What does this mean for the average bettor. Well value first and big underdogs second. I love selectively be ...  read more

SEC can anyone contain them??
Craig Trapp Sep 22, 2008
WOW is all that needs to be said when it comes to conference strength there is no other that can boast as the SEC can. With five top fifteen ranked teams no one else has the powere that they do. Florida, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Auburn are all legitimate national power houses this year. If someone runs the table in this conference they should cancel the national championship game and just give th ...  read more

Craig's Week in review NFL week 2
Craig Trapp Sep 17, 2008
Wow a lot of surprises again in the NFL week 2.

Who would have thought that two of the best QB's in football over the past 4 years would be struggling (Palmer and Hasselback). Both there teams are 0-2 and looking at a very bad season with tough schedules ahead. Palmer might not make it out of this weeks matchup with the Giants. His offensive lineman have been lacking the proper blocking t ...  read more

Craig's Free Play for Thursday!
Craig Trapp Sep 11, 2008
Love the Cubs here. Harden has been almost unhittable since becoming a CHC. Coming off some extra rest, Harden looks for his fifth consecutive winning decision while trying to help the Cubs to a second straight victory in the deciding game of their road series with the injury-riddled St. Louis Cardinals. St. Louis (78-67), meanwhile, had its three-game winning streak snapped while dropping 4 1/2 g ...  read more

Week 1 recap- Big Upsets and Injuries what does it mean??
Craig Trapp Sep 9, 2008

Wow what a week last week. Who would have thought that Brady would be lost for the year, the bengals offense scores 3 points, the browns score a total of 10 pts, Colts lose bad to Chicago at home, and SanDiego loses to Carolina at home. Just shows you that if the NFL is one thing it is unpredictable. The big thing is to take what we learned and to apply it to make money!!

Hopefully we ...  read more

NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREVIEW - #10 AUBURN TIGERS
Craig Trapp Aug 18, 2008

Today we will preview the Auburn Tigers. Tommy Tuberville knows what many people are thinking. With a new offensive scheme, a new offensive coordinator, a new defensive coordinator and uncertainty surrounding the team's unproven quarterbacks, critics wonder if Auburn can contend for the SEC Western Division title. LSU is coming off a national championship. Alabama has put together two highly ...  read more

NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW - #9 CLEMSON TIGERS
Craig Trapp Aug 16, 2008

Today we will preview the #9 Clemson Tigers. This is Clemson's best chance in years to become ACC champions, a title the Tigers once won with regularity. There is no doubt, however, that the Tigers have the best group of talent in the ACC's Atlantic Division, which has about six more contenders for the league title than the weaker Coastal Division. Clemson has the league's top returning quart ...  read more

NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW- #8 WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS
Craig Trapp Aug 13, 2008

Today we will preview the WVU Mountaineers. Coming off an upset in the Fiesta Bowl of Oklahoma you would think this team might be ranked even higher. New Coach Bill Stewart got off to a great start leading them in there upset. But this years team loses their best RB and several key seniors. Leading them this year will be four year starter QB Pat White.

Offensively this year they wil ...  read more

NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW- #7 MISSOURI TIGERS
Craig Trapp Aug 12, 2008

Today we will be previewing the #7 Missouri Tigers. Coach Gary Pinkel knows his team faced high expectations going into last year but that pressure will pale in comparison to what the Tigers will be staring down this fall. After improving by four wins and rising to a No. 1 ranking in the nation for the first time since 1960, Missouri enters the season poised for what could be the most excitin ...  read more

NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREVIEW- #6 LSU TIGERS
Craig Trapp Aug 11, 2008

Today we will preview the #6 LSU tigers. Last years national champs have had a lot to celebrate the last few years. This team is a perennial national championship contender. Coach Les Miles has been one of the most successful coaches since taking over as head coach. After winning two national championships in five years under two different coaches, the expectations are higher than ever at LS ...  read more

NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW- #5 FLORIDA GATORS
Craig Trapp Aug 8, 2008

Today we will round out the top 5 preseason team previews with the #5 Florida Gators. Florida is coming off a season with mixed successes. They had the best player in college football, Tim Tebow. But Gators fans can’t be happy with getting embarrassed in the Capital One Bowl by Michigan. Last year they had one of the best offenses but only finished 9-4.

Offensively the Gators are comi ...  read more

NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW- #4 Oklahoma Sooners
Craig Trapp Aug 7, 2008

Today we will preview the #3 Oklahoma Sooners. They come off a great year last year finishing 11-2. Sooners head coach Bob Stoops has won five Big 12 championships with five different quarterbacks over the last eight seasons. He has a great chance to win his sixth conference crown in 2008, but he doesn't plan to use a sixth signal-caller. Sam Bradford led the nation in passing efficiency and ...  read more

NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW- #3 Ohio State Buckeyes
Craig Trapp Aug 6, 2008

Today we will preview the OSU Buckeyes. This team seems destined to have another great season. They return almost all starters from last years 11-2 big ten champs team. No way could OSU coaches count on two-time All-American linebacker James Laurinaitis returning, or All-Big Ten cornerback Malcolm Jenkins. Both of them were probable first-round picks. Both came back for one reason, to win a ...  read more

NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW- #2 USC TROJANS
Craig Trapp Aug 5, 2008

Today leads us to the preview of # USC Trojans. Another year finds USC near the top of the preseason rankings. Seems like every year they are a fixture near the top! The Trojans, coming off an 11-2 season, just have to score some points, and that usually isn't a problem for a team with six straight top-four finishes, BCS bowls and Pac-10 titles. They lose 10 starters to the NLF but have dep ...  read more

Mark Richt has had his teams playing at a high level for ...  read more

Craig Trapp Aug 1, 2008

Well this is the last of the 4 part series of under and over rated teams broken down by conference. The NFC most under rated team has to be the St. Louis Rams. Last season this team was never healthy and really struggled. They had expectations of winning there division. This year I believe they look like there very healthy. The only question with this team is the holdout by Stephen Jackson ...  read more
