When: 8:25 PM ET, Thursday, November 30, 2017 Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas TV Coverage: NBC Current Betting Line: Cowboys +2 Total: 45.5 “So you’re telling me there’s a chance.” My brother-in-law used this famous Dumb and Dumber quote yesterday after looking at the Wild Card standings in reference to his beloved Dallas Cowboys. I think he’s delusional and I came right back at him with another famous quote, this time from Cosmo Kramer, “Stick a fork in me Jerry…I’m done!”
My brother-in-law was busy last Sunday, and didn’t get a chance to watch the game, nor did he use his NFL Game Pass subscription to watch the condensed game. He didn’t want to live through the misery. I told him before he starts giving the Dallas Cowboys a chance to save their season, he MUST watch the Cowboys Thanksgiving matchup last week against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Cowboys made the Chargers look like a legit Super Bowl contender in a 28-6 beatdown in Jerry’s World. Philip Rivers threw for 434 yards and three touchdowns, with Keenan Allen going off for 11 receptions for 172 yards and a TD. Not only did the Chargers offense take care of business, but also their defense, which is ranked 17th in total defense, held Dak Prescott to 179 yards passing with no TD’s and two interceptions. They also held the ground game in check without Zeke Elliott, allowing only 79 yards on 20 rushing attempts.
To break down the Chargers D even more, even though they are ranked 7th overall is pass defense, they rank dead last in rushing defense, having given up 1468, which is an average of 133.5 per game and 4.9 yards per attempt. The so-called “best o-line in football” looked pedestrian at best. Is it a mental thing because they don’t have Zeke back there? Whatever the case, the Cowboys look terrible.
This NFC East division matchup will most likely end the distant playoff hopes for the loser. Both are at 5-6 with two other teams, two games behind the Atlanta Falcons, with three teams separating them. Another loss will surely spell disaster.

This is the second and final regular season matchup between these divisional foes. They met in Washington Week 8, with the Cowboys coming out on top 33-19. That score doesn’t paint a clear picture though, as this one was a lot closer than the boxscore indicates.Kirk Cousins and the Redskins had the ball in hand, one score down, with less than a minute to play in the 4th quarter when Cousins threw a pick-six putting the Cowboys up by two scores. Another stat that can’t go unnoticed is the day Elliott had, who will not suit up for this one while he serves his suspension. Zeke ran for more yards (150) than Prescott threw for (143), accounting for the two Cowboy offensive TD’s.
A quick look at these two head-to-head show the Cowboys, with a 7-3 SU record, have dominated the last 10 games. The spread is split 5-5 in the same time frame. However, it can’t be forgotten that the Cowboys have lost their last 3 games, scoring a total of 22 points.
NFL Football Game Previews – NFL Football Scores and Odds
I simply cannot trust the Cowboys right now and my money is on the Redskins at -2. I also like the UNDER, and will be putting together a parlay to get my bookie bankroll ready for the weekend.
