The college football season just keeps getting better and better. A Week 3 matchup of ranked ACC teams heads the lineup of this week’s games and now the Big Ten has announced it will be back in action in late October. Miami has underachieved the last few years but got one in the win column in their first game with UAB. The Cardinals have a high-flying offense led by junior QB Malik Cunningham and a pair of wide receivers that are as good as any in the country. AMERICA’S BOOKIE OFFERS BONUSES TIED TO DEPOSITS ALL FOOTBALL SEASON New Hurricanes QB D’Eriq King will lead us to our premium betting pick. King and new offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee are pushing the tempo on offense. Add the Cards’ and Canes’ offenses together and we have us a winner. Game: Miami Hurricanes (1-0, 1-0 ATS) at Louisville Cardinals (1-0, 1-0 ATS) When: 7:30 PM ET, Saturday, September 17, 2020 Where: Cardinal Stadium, Louisville, Kentucky Current Line: LOU -2.5 Total: 64.5 TV Coverage: ABC King transferred from Houston after a 2019 season in which he packed it in after four games. King is the same guy who lit up defenses for 2,982 yards and 36 TDs passing and 674 yards and 14 TDs rushing in 2018. Redshirt Rule Taking advantage of the NCAA’s new redshirt rule, King is now leading an up-tempo spread offense that rushed for 337 yards against UAB in the ‘Canes first game. Miami ran 78 offensive plays, over a dozen more than they averaged per game last season. Sports handicappers know this is not the same Miami offense that put up just 31 points in three consecutive losses to end the 2019 season. The 2020 version of the ‘Canes is much different than the one that went UNDER in 12 of its last 15 road games. Then, there’s Louisville. Cunningham threw for a career-high 343 yards last week, including a 70-yard touchdown to senior WR Dez Fitzpatrick. Both Fitzpatrick and teammate Braden Smith had four receptions for 110 yards in last week’s win over Western Kentucky. Beginning late in 2019, head coach Scott Satterfield’s Cardinals began to come together on offense. Over the last four weeks of last season, Louisville’s offense had games of 34, 56, and 38 points. They covered the spread at top online sportsbooks in each of those games. The Offense is Clicking Louisville is 5-1 SU in their last six games, the only loss coming to rival Kentucky. The Cardinals are also 4-1 ATS in their last five games, but if you dig a little deeper you will find that Louisville is just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 ACC games. When these two teams played last year, they combined for 79 points. Louisville has many of the same playmakers and Miami’s offense is better than its 2019 version. Be a smarter bettor and remember these type things. In each and every one of Louisville’s last six games, the Total has gone OVER. The average Total in those six games is 67.17 points. The OVER has also hit in 11 of Louisville’s last 15 conference games. Saturday night’s Total is set high at 64.5 and that is exactly why we’re taking the OVER. NCAAF Free Pick: Miami-Louisville OVER 64.5
