Army vs. Texas San Antonio (NCAAF) - 1:30 PM EDT Premium Pick
Pick: Point Spread: 8/-108 Texas San Antonio Rating: 9* Mike's 9* CFB Barking Out Loud Saturday Silencer (LOSS)
The Black Knights went tooth & nail with another military academy last week against the 31-point underdog & FCS Southern Conference entry Citadel Bulldogs. Jeff Monken's crew were lucky enough to squeak by for a hard-fought 14-9 win. Both teams ended up with 228 total yards of offense. Venues have dictated Army's SU record thus far as they've won all 4 games @ Michie Stadium in West Point while losing their only road contest @ Cincinnati. Army may be 4-1 SU but have beaten 4 teams with a 1-14 combined record. They've blown out 2 weak FBS clubs in Middle Tennessee State (1-4) 42-0, & Louisiana-Monroe (0-4) 37-7 while taking care of 2 lower FCS teams in Abilene Christian (0-2) 55-23 & Citadel (0-4). They'll now take on Conference USA entry & new upstarts into the fold -- the UTSA Roadrunners of 1st-year HC Jeff Traylor. Traylor came over from Arkansas where he was RB's coach but also brought over his new OC Barry Lunney who was ST Coordinator & Interim HC there in 19'. While UTSA comes in 3-2 SU, they were the first team to hang tough until the end with BYU before losing by a 27-20 count. My bottom line says even though the Roadrunners should have QB Frank Harris back, his backup Lowell Narcisse was brilliant in relief versus the Cougars in Provo going 17 of 20 for 229 yards & 2 TD's. On the flip side is a lot of uncertainty @ QB. 2nd-stringer Jemel Jones started for 1st-stringer Christian Anderson (might start here) versus Citadel but was injured in the 4th quarter & was relieved by 3rd-stringer Maurice Bellan. There's also a bit of revenge on tap as the Black Knights upended UTSA 31-13 on this field last season. I love the fact that UTSA DC Tyrone Nix (former LB coach with Ole Miss) will run a penetrating 3-4 against the triple-option as his "D" through 5 games have registered 44 TFL's (tackles for loss) to date. Crunching the numbers tell us the Roadrunners are 5-1 all-rime ATS as single-digit dogs. We'll look for talented TB Sincere McCormick (569 rushing yards & 4 TD's through 5 games) to keep them in it to win it. We're ready to go to the Alamodome to play the U.T.S.A. ROADRUNNERS (buying to + 10 1/2) as my 9* CFB Barking Out Loud Saturday Silencer!
Kentucky vs. Tennessee (NCAAF) - 12:00 PM EDT Premium Pick
Pick: Money Line: -235 Tennessee Rating: 9* Mike's Headliner Moneyliner (LOSS)
I'm not convinced Kentucky (157 total yards last week) is legit just yet. It's not every week where you're gifted 6 INT's (Mississippi State) yet only muster 24 points. This represents the 2nd road game for HC Mark Stoops as they lost opening weekend 29-13 @ Auburn. In this matchup last year, the Wildcats rushed the ball 64 times for 320 yards but still lost to the Vols 17-13. My bottom line says this is a character check for Jeremy Pruitt's bunch who lost @ Georgia last week & have a home game with Alabama up next. Keep in mind the last time Kentucky won @ Neyland Stadium was back in 1984! I'm laying the juice as we head to Knoxville to play the TENNESSE VOLUNTEERS for the "W" as my 9* Headliner Moneyliner!

BYU vs. Houston (NCAAF) - 9:30 PM EDT Premium Pick
Pick: Point Spread: 3.5/-110 Houston Rating: 8* Friday Night CFB Late Steam (LOSS)
There's not a whole lot to this "Battle Of The Cougars" pick but to say GOOD teams (Houston) who looked miserable their previous game (also their 1st game of the year where they had 5 turnovers) but still pulled out in the end 49-31 versus Tulane. HC Dana Holgorsen nearly has everyone back on offense & defense so a promising season is definitely in order. They take on a B.Y.U. team who are 4-0 SU but faced a fairly easy schedule with blowout wins versus Navy, Troy, Louisiana Tech before barely getting by U.T.S.A. (University of Texas @ San Antonio) 27-20 (these Cougars were 33-point favorites) last week. These 2 last met @ this venue in 14' when we witnessed a wild & wooly one that went B.Y.U.'s way 47-46 with Houston getting the cover as 10-point dogs. Looking for the same here as we go to TDECU Stadium to play the HOUSYON COUGARS (buying to + 4 1/2) as my 8* Friday Night CFB Late Steam!
