Round two is underway and round one was a dandy in nearly every series. The NBA Playoffs are better and bigger than ever. Hopefully you have been able to get in on the action and take advantage of the weak lines. Vegas has been wrong in many of the games and the offshore wagering sites have followed suit. So far so good for the gambler. This series goes a long way back in time and what a rival it once was. One can make an argument that these two teams did indeed at one time have the best rivalry in all of the NBA and quite possibly the best rivalry of all time in the NBA. This rivalry goes back to the days of Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Charles Barkley and many more. This was a fierce rival, these two teams hated each other and they battled. The Sixers have been awful for a while now and have been one of the worst teams in the league for long enough. The tide has turned in Philly. There’s a new sheriff in town, actually, several new sheriffs in town and these boys don’t play around. The Sixers play with a lot of swagger, they are young, explosive, fast and can shoot the three. They play big when necessary and rebound like beasts’ in general, they get after it in every way offensively. Embiid is the star with 22.9 ppg, on 48.3 % shooting, they have weapons that come after the opponent like Simmons and a host of others. The one problem for the Sixers, defense, they struggle to find it. When the game is up-tempo, the Sixers will run teams out of the gym, when the game is a defensive battle, just the opposite. As a team, the Sixers are giving up 103.4 ppg which is slightly off the Celtics mark of 101.9 ppg. How to bet the NBA Playoffs – First Halves vs. Second Halves The Celtics struggle to find offense without Kyrie Irving. Boston made the big offseason deal for Irving in hopes of turning their playoff fate around. They also acquired Gordon Hayward from the Jazz in a highly anticipated trade and he played for five minutes. Given what the Celtics have been through this season, they have had a banner year. A fantastic season and they have been tough defensively. This series is set to be a battle in the East and a fantastic matchup from top to bottom. The Sixers have the big men, can the make the Celtics pay? It will be tough to get a road opener in Boston, this is still Larry’s house and it’s going to be a rocking joint. All week long this series is going to rock the house in both Boston and Philly.
Be sure and check the lines closely, it’s safe to say that the sharps will be driving prices but it may be a better plan to wait until just before tipoff. This series is going to be fantastic call your sportsbook, jump in and make some money.
