One of the most common questions I get from my clients is "how much should I be betting per game"? The answer is usually different depending on each individual person. Good bankroll management is one of the biggest and most important factors when it comes to sports betting and making profits. However big or small your bankroll is, it should be set aside and kept separate from all others expenses (bills, rent, etc.) and be used strictly to bet on sports. I use a general rule of betting between 2-5% of your bankroll per game. This gives you enough room to where a few bad beats on games won't completely bankrupt you. There is no such thing as "locks" and any team can lose on any given day. When I give out a play this is how I base my betting amounts:
5-10 unit play = 2% of bankroll
10-20 unit play = 2-3% of bankroll
20-25 unit play = 4% of bankroll
30 unit play = 5% of bankroll
