The Miami Heat are paying roughly +140 to make it past the Toronto Raptors in their Eastern Conference Semifinals, and I see plenty of reasons to back the Heat.
Miami has the more experienced team while Toronto won its first playoffs series in 15 years when they made it past Indiana in the first round. It's very concerning that they struggled that much with the Pacers, and while Miami hardly impressed in their series against Boston the Heat's playoff experience will come in handy here.
Particularly as homecourt advantage will be extremely important in this series. The Raptors were 35-10 home in Toronto during the regular season while the Heat were 31-14 home in Miami. The Raptors postseason inexperience could however see the team collapse it they were to drop a game at home. They'll have potentially four home games in the series, but I don't think it will mean much in the end as it only takes on Miami win at Air Canada Centre to turn the tide.
All this combined makes me think the price is right to back the underdog the Heat in this series.
Good luck, and remember to check out my NBA premium picks.
