Lets take some time to take a look at some baseball futures for the 2017 MLB season.
Odds to Win the 2017 World Series
(compliments of the Westgate Sportsbook, Las Vegas)
While the Chicago Cubs are currently busy celebrating the franchise's first World Series title in 108 years, oddsmakers have listed them as heavy favorites to do it again in 2017.
The Cubs are 7-2 favorites to win this year's World Series. The Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers are tied for second at 9-1, followed by the Washington Nationals at 12-1.
The American League champion Cleveland Indians are part of a group of four teams with 9-1 odds. The Texas Rangers have the longest odds to win the World Series among 2016 division winners at 16-1.

Take Tampa Bay Rays 'Under' 78.5 Wins (+105)
I do expect that Tampa Bay is going to have a little bit of a bounce back season after slinking to just 68 wins last year. But the good old days of the early part of this decade are not coming back. The Rays are clearly the fifth-best team in a stacked division. And even though I think that they will play a bit better and have some better luck, I can't see this team threatening .500 this year. Yes, I understand that the metrics and the statheads love the Rays. PECOTA has them at 84 wins and FanGraphs has them at 82-80. But there simply aren't enough wins to go around in that division. Tampa Bay didn't make any moves this offseason that make them a more competitive team this year, instead continuing their build-for-the-future mantra. They have a lot of young, cornerstone talent. But they don't hit the ball well enough and I don't trust the back end of the rotation enough to expect some major boost. Also, the key to all those overachieving 90-win seasons was Joe Maddon! And he's not there any more! So while I think that this one will end up close to the number I have a really hard time pegging Tampa Bay to top 80 wins in a division. I'm playing 'under' here. 5Dimes gives you reduced juice wagering
I believe the NY Yankees will have a much better season this year as their win total is set at 81 and I like that OVER THE TOTAL as well.
