Steve Stone has been handicapping baseball for almost 3 years now professionally. Steve grew up in baseball family, his dad and uncle playing professionally for many years both here and in Japan. After starring in high school, Steve played baseball in college, but realized that he wasn't talented enough to play as a pro. While he wasn't talented enough to play past the college level, it was during these years that Steve realized that he did have a special talent, picking winners. Steve and his buddies started placing small wagers while a freshman in college...and based on his picks, they were winning more than they were losing. Before long, everyone on campus was calling on Steve for winners.

After college and into his career in sales, Steve continued to give his friends and co-workers winners, giving his "Steve Stone Cold Locks". Before long, a friend suggested that he could be an even better handicapper if he did it full time, rather than just as a hobby. After thinking it over for a few weeks, Steve decided to take a chance being a full time bettor and handicapper, saying that the only way to really be successful at sports handicapping is doing it 24-7. Now he spends all of his time watching games, looking at data, and most importantly, analyzing the line

Money Management

Steve Stone joins Godfather Locks as the Head Baseball Handicapper. His philosophy is simple. He wants to win more games than he loses. Betting should be fun, but simply stated, betting should be about making a profit. Winning money is more important than picking winners. With Steve Stone and his Stone Cold Locks, you won't get BS success stories that couldn't be possible, you get a handicapper that knows the game and will give you consistent winners and profits, when combined with discipline and money management

When betting baseball, Steve doesn't like to bet the big favorites just because it seems like the best bet. When you lay money on a huge favorite, for example -230, you’re laying too much money to leave room for losses, which will happen. Steve very rarely will bet a favorite over -160. At -160, you need to win more than 62 percent of games to make money. At -240, you need to win 71 percent to make money. You shouldn’t bet those odds unless you are confident that you can win enough to make a profit. Remember, it's about betting smart. A heavy underdog will pay +300, it's all about when to bet those games.

Many times, Steve sticks to low priced favorites or just bets on underdogs. A strategy of betting only on underdogs gives you an opportunity to win 50% of the time or less and still win money.
