A 63-year-old native of Georgia, Larry Green began handicapping sports in 1981 after ending a sportswriting career of 10 years in which he traveled the country watching NCAA football, basketball and professional golf. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Larry depends heavily on statistical based analysis with an eye toward monitoring his own results in order to learn where the successes and pitfalls rest. "I look for winning systems, but when I find one that is a consistent loser, I am not too prideful to realize that this, too, is a money-making opportunity. The bottom line is, in the final tally, all that really matters is winning."

His handicapping success began with an NFL system that has gone basically unchanged for 30 years. However, as his passion for making handicapping decisions that defeat the line increased, he quickly expanded to NCAA basketball and major league baseball, both having long season schedules with great opportunities for financial increases. He became a "handicapper for hire" in his own hometown, working with a group of wealthy businessmen. He still lives today in Dalton, GA, working in a family business and charting game activity from home. He has five children and nine grandchildren.
