Big game on Saturday afternoon at the Big House as Nebraska visits Michigan for the first time as Big Ten members and the first time facing U-M in the regular season since 1962, with both the Huskers and Wolverines still having hope for the Big Ten Legends Division title and a spot in the inaugural conference championship game. U-M is a 3.5-point favorite on Bodog’s NCAA football odds

Both No. 16 Nebraska (8-2, 4-2) and No. 18 Michigan (8-2, 4-2) are a game behind Michigan State in the division with two to play. However, the Huskers would hold the tiebreaker with MSU, while Michigan would not as it lost to the Spartans. Michigan State is expected to rout Indiana on Saturday and closes at Northwestern. Thus Michigan could be eliminated from the title chase today even with a win, while Nebraska would still have a shot if it wins.

While most teams in the nation have become pass happy, this will be true Big Ten football as both teams accentuate the run. Michigan faces a stout rushing Nebraska attack led by RB Rex Burkhead and quarterback Taylor Martinez. The Huskers have rushed for 28 touchdowns this season and are No. 13 in the country in rushing yards per game (232.7), while Michigan allowed an average of 172 yards rushing in its only two losses this season.

Michigan has the incomparable Denard Robinson at quarterback and the Cornhuskers have struggled against mobile quarterbacks, losing against Wisconsin (Russell Wilson) and Northwestern (Kain Colter). However, Robinson is usually boom or bust. He has lost three fumbles and thrown two interceptions the past two games. Nebraska ranks eighth in the Big Ten in rush defense, allowing 161.3 yards per game, while Michigan averages 231.3 yards on the ground — 13th in the nation.

Nebraska is 5-1 ATS in past six as a dog. U-M is 4-1 ATS in past five as a favorite.
