The St. Louis Rams take the field for Monday Night Football for the first time since 2006 when they
visit the Giants in New York’s home opener tonight, but St. Louis looks to be
very shorthanded when it does. The G-Men are 7-point favorites on Bodog’s NFL football odds with live betting available. Rams running back Steven Jackson, a huge part of that offense, is a game-time decision with a strained quad suffered in a Week 1 loss to Philadelphia. It would be a surprise if Jackson played. Since Jackson joined the team, the Rams are just 1-11 when he doesn’t play. Out for sure for the Rams is top receiver Danny Amendola after he dislocated an elbow vs. the Eagles. QB Sam Bradford will play after injuring a finger on his throwing hand. The Giants have their own injury problems. Top WR Hakeem
Nicks and defensive end Justin Tuck are both listed as
questionable. Nicks had a big opener but injured his knee in a loss to the
Redskins. Tuck missed that game with a neck injury. Nicks has guaranteed he
would play but Tuck hasn’t gone that far but said his gut feeling was he would
go. The Giants sacked Rex Grossman four times without Tuck or
fellow end Osi Umenyiora (still out). But the secondary was
torched by Grossman for 305 yards and two touchdowns. Neither team can really afford a loss. Since 2000, only nine of 98 teams that
have started 0-2 have made the playoffs. In the past two years, 17 teams have
started 0-2 and none has made the playoffs. This is the first time the Giants
have hosted MNF since 2003. Get the most unique NFL football odds and props at the Web’s gaming
