South Florida (4-4, 0-4 Big East) was one of the preseason conference favorites but instead is the only team without a Big East victory. The Bulls have lost four in a row, with the last coming 20-17 in overtime at Rutgers on Saturday – that was USF’s third straight loss by six points or less. South Florida blew a 17-3 lead halfway through the fourth quarter vs. the Scarlet Knights. QB B.J. Daniels had his worst game of the season, completing just 41.2 percent of his passes for 160 yards with one TD and one pick.

Syracuse (5-4, 1-3) would get bowl-eligible with a victory. The Orange had Big East title hopes after an upset of West Virginia on Oct. 21 but has since lost back-to-back road games to Louisville and Connecticut. Ryan Nassib threw for 275 yards and two TDs in Saturday’s 28-21 loss to the Huskies. Alec Lemon had nine receptions for 157 yards and a score.

The Orange are looking for its second straight series victory after beating USF, 13-9, on the road in 2010 as Nassib led a 98-yard TD drive in the fourth quarter for the winning points. However, USF is 5-1 all-time in the series (and is 5-1 ATS). SU is 2-0 in weeknight games this season. The Bulls are just 1-6 ATS in their past seven as a road favorite.
