NCAA football bettors have two options on Thursday night this week.
USC-California is the highlight game, but San Diego State and Air Force also
face off as both look for their first Mountain West Conference win of the
season. Air Force, which could be in its final season in the MWC with the Big
East rumored to be interested, opened as a 6.5-point favorite on Bodog’s NCAA football odds.
San Diego State (3-2, 0-1 MWC) started the year 3-0 but has dropped two
straight and managed only 21 total points in those losses. It scored 114 points
in the first three games. On Saturday in San Diego, the Aztecs fell 28-14 to
TCU. Star QB Ryan Lindley, who is considered an NFL prospect,
was just 15-for-41 for 201 yards with two TDs and three interceptions. And
running back Ronnie Hillman, who was among the nation’s rushing
leaders, was held to 55 yards on 20 carries. SDSU also turned the ball over four
times. Air Force (3-2, 0-1) was taken apart by Notre Dame on Saturday, 59-33. The
Irish got TDs on all six of their first-half possessions and led 42-16 at the
intermission. The two teams combined for 1,125 yards total offense — 565 by Air
Force and 560 by Notre Dame. The Falcons rushed for a whopping 363 yards and as
usual are among the nation’s top rushing teams (currently No. 2). But that
defense is among the worst in the nation, allowing more than 34 points a
game. The Aztecs broke a three-game Air Force winning streak in this series with
last year’s 27-25 victory in San Diego. Hillman rushed for 191 yards and two
TDs. It was SDSU’s first win over a ranked team – AFA was No. 23 – since
1996. Get the best NCAA football odds and props at the Web’s gaming leader
