Rocketman’s Top 25 CFB Rankings Week 8 The first BCS Standings are out for College Football. Let’s see how Rocketman’s Unique power ratings compare to these. We did tell you last week that California would lose at least 2 games this year and shouldn’t be at the top and they proved that last week with a loss to Oregon State. Ohio State 96.25 Oklahoma 95.55 Oregon 94.36 West Virginia 91.24 LSU 90.47 Texas 90.01 Arizona State 89.42 Florida 89.05 Kansas 89.03 Penn State 88.95 Texas Tech 88.1 South Florida 87.6 Southern Cal 86.97 Boston College 86.31 Missouri 85.53 Kansas State 85.39 California 85.22 Auburn 84.98 Virginia Tech 84.44 Michigan 84.36 Boise State 83.32 Tennessee 82.78 Arkansas 82.49 South Carolina 82.2 Cincinnati 82.2 We’ve got Ohio State and Oklahoma flip flopping in our Top 25 this week as Ohio State blew away their opponent while Oklahoma struggled with Missouri. Oregon moved up to the #3 spot while West Virginia and LSU round out the Top 5. The BCS has South Florida and Boston College both listed in the Top 5 while we have South Florida back in 12th and Boston College in 14th. We feel strongly that South Florida could get upset this week by Rutgers so keep an eye on that one. One other note is BCS has South Carolina up in 6th while we have them way back in 24th. The Gamecocks are my favorite team as many of you know and we wrote an article before the season started saying to play Over 7 in CFB reg season wins and I also said they would finish in the Top 10 in the nation. South Carolina struggled against North Carolina where we had them blowing them away is the reason they fell down in our rankings. I do feel like they will climb in my rankings and will surprise many people down the stretch with tough games against Tennessee, Florida, Clemson and Arkansas.
