The Mets are this years surprise team as they were projected as a high 70/s win team and hade several things break their way. Their big strength is their starting pitching which features 4 aces in DeGrom, Harvey, Syndergaard and Matz, along with one of the Majors best young closers in J.Familia. Kansas City is back in the World series and comes off one of the highest scoring American League Championship series in A.L.C.S History. The 64 combined runs by Kansas City and Toronto in the 2015 ALCS tie for the 4th highest in an MLB playoff series lasting at least six games (a category led by Toronto and the Philadelphia Phillies with 81 combined runs in the 1993 World Series), and are the most in a best of 7 MLB playoff series lasting six games since the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers combined for 69 runs in their 2011 National League Championship Series. The point here is the KC can hit but can also allow runs. The Royals big advantage in this series is the fact they lost last year and know what its like to lose on this stage and what it takes to get back here. They have home field advantage, play solid defense and have one of the best bullpens in the Majors. They play small ball and can manufacture runs. They will need starting pitchers, Cueto and Ventura to be good enough to keep them in these games against a vaunted Mets line up.
