The No. 6 Razorbacks (9-1, 5-1 SEC) are a game behind LSU in the SEC West with the two set to meet in Baton Rouge next Friday. It’s not out of the question that with a win Saturday, vs. the Tigers and in the SEC title game along with some help that Arkansas could even play for the national title. The Hogs have won six in a row since getting thumped by Alabama. Last week they clobbered Tennessee 49-7 with Tyler Wilson throwing for 224 yards and three scores. Arkansas is No. 11 in the nation in passing and No. 13 in scoring.

Mississippi State (5-5, 1-5) has been a big disappointment this season but would get bowl eligible with the upset. That’s hard to imagine considering MSU’s only SEC win has been against a terrible Kentucky team. Last week the Bulldogs did put up a decent fight in losing 24-7 to Alabama, although Mississippi State had only 131 yards of total offense and just 12 rushing. Bulldogs RB Vick Ballard, who is fifth in the SEC in rushing yards per game, had just 21 yards vs. the Tide but ran for 150 yards on 33 carries against Arkansas last season as the Bulldogs took the Razorbacks to double overtime before falling.

Mississippi State has lost its past 21 meetings with top-10 teams and has lost eight straight at Arkansas. The Hogs have won their past nine games in Little Rock. MSU has covered its past four games overall this season but is 0-4 ATS in past four at Arkansas.
