Look for a highly-entertaining, pass-happy game on Saturday night when No. 8
Oklahoma State visits Tulsa, with the Cowboys opening as 13.5-point favorites
and the total at a whopping 69.5 on Bodog’s NCAA football odds. The No. 8 Cowboys (2-0) apparently don’t miss former offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen as they are eighth in the nation in points per game at 49.0 and second in the nation in passing yards (427.5) behind the stellar duo of QB Brandon Weeden and incomparable WR Justin Blackmon. The Cowboys enter off an impressive 37-14 win on Sept. 8 over Arizona so they will have had a few extra days to prepare for this one. Weeden was 42-for-53 (school records
for attempts and completions) for 397 yards and two TDs in that one. Weeden completed 22 of his first 23 passes and the Cowboys scored on their first three drives to open a 21-0 lead in the first 16½ minutes. Blackmon had 128 yards on 12 receptions to extend his NCAA record streak to 14 straight games with at least 100 yards receiving. Tulsa, meanwhile, bounced back from a 47-14 opening loss to top-ranked
Oklahoma by thumping Tulane 31-3 last Saturday. G.J. Kinne
threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns in that one. OSU leads the all-time series with Tulsa 39-27-5. Last year the Cowboys beat
Tulsa 65-28 in Stillwater. Weeden passed for 409 yards and six touchdowns, three
to Blackmon. The teams combined for 1,150 yards of offense, including 722 by
Oklahoma State, breaking the school record of 717 set against Kansas during
Barry Sanders' Heisman Trophy season in 1988. Since 2003, the
Golden Hurricane are 0-11 against teams from BCS conferences. Get the best NCAA odds and props at the Web’s gaming leader!
