A middling performance over the weekend at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in his return to action hasn't kept Tiger Woods from being pegged as the 6/1 favorite at the Bodog Sportsbook on the golf odds to win the 2012 Masters.

Of course that's a long way off – and we'll get a better indicator of how well Woods' legs are going to hold up this week at the PGA Championship – but the former top player in the world obviously still has the respect of the oddsmakers.

And don't forget that, despite some miserable results over the past year, Woods actually finished in a respectable tie for fourth place at The Masters back in April, ending up four strokes back of eventual winner Charl Schwartzel.

That was Woods' seventh consecutive finish in the Top 10 at Augusta National, and he's ended up in the Top 25 at The Masters in each of the past 15 years.

Still, Woods' last major victory came in the U.S. Open back in 2008, and he hasn't won The Masters since 2005. That leaves the door open for other top contenders on the golf odds at the Bodog Sportsbook to take the Green Jacket for themselves in 2012.

Rory McIlroy is next behind Woods on The Masters odds board at 7/1, and he ended up in a tie for 15th place at the tourney back in April. McIlroy shot out of the gate with a 65 in the first round of the event, but faded badly to end up 10 shots back of first place.

Phil Mickelson didn't break 70 in any round of The Masters this year en route to a 27th-place finish, but he's the third-favorite at 10/1 on the golf odds to win the tournament in 2012. Lefty, though, did win The Masters in 2010.

Lee Westwood (20/1) and Luke Donald (25/1) round out the top tier of contenders for the 2012 Masters right now, with Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, and Nick Watney all at 33/1 odds.

Schwartzel is then in a group at 40/1 odds to win the event for the second consecutive year – along with such golfers as Adam Scott, Anthony Kim, Hunter Mahan, Matt Kuchar, and Steve Stricker. The Bodog online sportsbook has all the 2012 Masters golf futures.
