The Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks showed their pride in routing the
Vancouver Canucks in Game 4 of this Western Conference quarterfinal series, but the Hawks will
need to play even better tonight as the Canucks look to win the series back at
home. Vancouver opened as a -210 favorite on Bodog’s NHL odds. The Blackhawks played one of their best games of the season in Game 4’s 7-2 victory. The team seemed to get a huge boost from center Dave Bolland. After missing 17 games, Bolland made his series debut and had a goal and three assists – a career-high four points — as the champs staved off elimination for one night. Chicago’s Patrick Sharp added two power-play goals. The Blackhawks avoided becoming the third defending Stanley Cup champion to be swept
in four straight games in their opening-round series. Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo, who had been brilliant in
the first three games, was pulled in the final period after giving up six goals.
The six goals he gave up are the second-most he's ever given up in a postseason
game. He missed practice on Wednesday but will play. The Canucks had the best
home record in the NHL this season. The Blackhawks played Game 4 without top defenseman Brent Seabrook
after he took a vicious hit in Game 3. He traveled with the team to
Vancouver and might play tonight after a shoulder-to-head hit knocked him loopy
in Game 3 and out of Game 4. As good as Seabrook is, the Hawks didn’t miss him
in Game 4, as their defensemen were a collective plus-10, scoring two goals.
Chicago winger Tomas Kopecky, out since Game 1 by an upper-body
injury, didn't travel and is out for Game 5. Get the best Blackhawks-Canucks odds and props at Bodog
