The Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning will meet again on the NHL betting
board on Thursday night, and both teams will be looking for some better play
between the pipes as they continue the Eastern Conference final. The Bruins managed to tie up the series 1-1 in Game 2 on Tuesday night, but the wild contest saw netminders Tim Thomas and Dwayne Roloson give up a combined 11 goals in the 6-5 Boston victory. Thomas broke first, with Tampa Bay forward Adam Hall opening
the scoring just 13 seconds into the game. Overall, Thomas allowed five goals on
41 shots but managed to play the entire 60 minutes. That's more than can be said for Roloson, who was yanked after allowing six
goals on 27 shots – including five goals in the Bruins' second-period blitz.
Backup Mike Smith stopped all eight shots he faced in
relief. Bruins rookie forward Tyler Seguin, in the lineup only
because of the injury to Patrice Bergeron, was the spark plug
in Boston's attack on Tuesday, scoring twice and adding two assists.
Michael Ryder also had a pair of goals in the win for
Boston. Hall, Martin St. Louis, Vincent Lecavalier,
Steve Stamkos and Dominic Moore replied for
Tampa Bay in Tuesday's defeat. The Bodog line for the Bruins/Lightning Game 3 matchup in Tampa Bay has the
home team listed as the -135 favorite, with Boston tagged as a +115 underdog.
The total for the game is sitting at 5.5 goals, but this series has been
anything but defensive so far. Game 4 is also being played in the Sunshine State on Saturday afternoon. The
teams will then return to Boston for Game 5 next Monday night. Get all your NHL odds at
