The Minnesota Vikings are four games behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North standings, and we're only four weeks into the NFL season. Needless to say, the Vikings haven't had a strong start to the 2011 campaign.

Still, on the NFL odds board at the Bodog Sportsbook the Vikings are listed as 3-point favorites this week at home against another slumping team, the Arizona Cardinals.

Minnesota (0-4, 1-2-1 vs. the NFL betting lines) extended its skid to four games over the weekend, falling 22-17 on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Vikings QB Donovan McNabb completed 18 of his 30 pass attempts for 202 yards in that contest, with two touchdown strikes and one interception. McNabb had only thrown two TD passes combined over the first three weeks of the season, and the team has first-round draft pick Christian Ponder waiting to take over that job.

Adrian Peterson ran for 80 yards on 23 carries for Minnesota in the Week 4 loss, while Devin Aromashodu and Michael Jenkins had the TD catches.

The Cardinals dropped their third straight game in Week 4, losing 31-27 at home to the Giants to fall to 1-3 (2-2 vs. the NFL betting lines) on the season despite a monster game from running back Beanie Wells.

Wells rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns for Arizona in the loss to the Giants, while QB Kevin Kolb went 20-of-34 for 237 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Arizona gave up three TDs to New York in the fourth quarter of their Week 4 defeat.

When Minnesota hosted Arizona last season they won 27-24 as a 7.5-point favorite, with the Cardinals going 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against the Vikings.

Looking for NFL odds for Week 5 of the season plus updated Super Bowl futures? Arizona is at 150/1 to win the big game, with Minnesota at 300/1.
