The Green Bay Packers will look to exploit one of the NFL Picks best home field advantages when they host the New York Giants in the NFC Championship Game. Legend Brett Favre is hoping to lead the Packers into their fifth Super Bowl with a win over the Giants this Sunday. This will only be the second time that Favre will play an NFC title game at Lambeau Field. The last time that occurred the Packers beat the Carolina Panthers in 1997 and chalked up a Super Bowl victory for the first time in 29 years. It was the only Super Bowl win of Brett Favre's career. After a horrible season last year Favre is coming off a career year as he threw 28 touchdowns and 4,155 passing yards. These two teams met way back in week 2 of the season and Favre took advantage of a New York defense still adjusting to new coordinator Steve Spagnuolo as he completed 29 of 38 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns as Green Bay crushed the Giants 35-13 at Giants Stadium. You have to wonder if the home field will really be an advantage as the Giants come into this one riding an 8 game road winning streak that is the longest single season road win streak in league history. The Giants will once again be looking to avenge an earlier season loss to the same team as last week they took care of the Cowboys last Sunday in the divisional round. A win over the Packers this week would not only avenge and earlier loss this year but also put New York in its fourth Super Bowl appearance and first in seven years. With Favre the main spotlight not many folks are talking about Eli Manning who has had his share of critics. However, After losing his two previous playoff games, Manning has shined in New York's two wins with a total of four touchdown passes and no interceptions. Green Bay comes into this contest one of the hottest ATS teams in the league this season as they are 13-3 versus the number and are an even tougher 7-0 ATS this season after playing a game at home. But, as written about many times the Giants come in 8-1 ATS in road games this season and a perfect 6-0 ATS when avenging a 14 point or more loss over the last 3 seasons.
