After suffering a setback on Monday night the Philadelphia Eagles will try to
get their momentum back on Sunday afternoon when they face the Arizona Cardinals
at home in an NFL Week 10 matchup. The Eagles came up short against the Chicago Bears in Monday's primetime
matchup, falling 30-24 at home to sit at 3-5 both straight up and against the
spread on the season. Philadelphia led that game 24-20 after three quarters, but gave up 10
unanswered points in the final frame to take the loss. Michael
Vick had a sub-par performance against the Bears, completing 21 of his
38 pass attempts for 213 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Vick
also ran for 34 yards on five carries. LeSean McCoy rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on 16
attempts for Philadelphia on Monday night, while Jeremy Maclin
had four catches for 63 yards in the contest. The Cardinals finally got back into the win column on the weekend with a
19-13 home victory in overtime against the St. Louis Rams, putting them at 2-6
straight up and 4-4 against the NFL odds on
the season. Patrick Peterson returned a punt 99 yards in overtime to
give Arizona that win, while John Skelton found Larry
Fitzgerald in the end zone in the fourth quarter to force the extra
frame. Skelton, playing instead of injured starter Kevin Kolb
(foot), went 20 of 35 for 222 yards with that one touchdown strike in the
contest. Skelton is expected to get the start once again for the Cardinals against the
Eagles, as Kolb misses out on a chance to play against his former team. The Cardinals and Eagles last met in the NFC Championship Game in January
2009, with Arizona coming out on top 32-25 as a 3.5-point home underdog. Overall
Arizona is 2-3 SU and 2-3 ATS in its past five games against the Eagles dating
back to 2001. Get all your NFL odds at
