Are we looking at the third team in NFL history to run the table in the regular
season? With a very manageable schedule remaining, the Green Bay Packers look
like a near-lock to join the 1972 Dolphins and 2007 Patriots as the only teams
to go unbeaten during the season. Can the Oakland Raiders pull off a stunner
Sunday in Green Bay? The Packers are 11-point favorites on Bodog’s NFL football

Oakland (7-5) will have to play leaps and
bounds better than last week when the Raiders were thumped 34-14 in Miami to end
a three-game winning streak and fall behind Denver atop the AFC West (the two
are tied but the Broncos currently hold the tiebreaker). The Raiders again
played without star RB Darren McFadden – and he will sit again
this week – and managed only 46 yards rushing vs. Miami. Replacement starter
Michael Bush was limited to just 18 yards on 10 carries. The
Raiders couldn't stop Miami's running game, converted only 2 of 11 third downs
and were penalized 10 times to pad their league-leading total.
The
Packers (12-0) had their biggest test of the season at the Giants on Sunday,
winning 38-35 on a field goal as time expired to become the ninth team in NFL
history to start 12-0. Aaron Rodgers continued his brilliant
play, throwing for 369 yards and four scores. Rodgers had a 106.2 passer rating,
extending his NFL record to 12 straight games of 100 or better. It was Green
Bay’s 18th straight win dating to Week 16 last year and the Packers wrapped up
the NFC North. During the Packers' 18-game win streak, they've won by single
digits 10 times. However, Sunday's win was Green Bay's smallest margin of
victory in the entire streak.
One more victory for Green Bay would
secure a first-round bye, and three more clinches the top seed, regardless of
how the 49ers (10-2) and Saints (9-3) fare the rest of the way. Green Bay and
Oakland haven’t played since 2007. The Raiders are 7-1 ATS in their past eight
following a loss. Pack are 7-0 ATS in their past seven following an ATS
loss.
