The TCU Horned Frogs went a perfect 13-0 last season, won the Mountain West
Conference championship and beat Wisconsin 21-19 in the Rose Bowl. So why aren't
they the favorites at the Bodog Sportsbook on the NCAA football
odds to win the MWC title again this season? Two reasons. Second, while Utah and BYU both left the conference, powerhouse Boise State
is now in the fold with star quarterback Kellen Moore back for
another season. So that means the Broncos are the 2/7 favorites on the college
football betting lines at the Bodog Sportsbook to win the Mountain West
Conference this season, with the Horned Frogs behind them on that list at 7/2
odds. San Diego State (12/1) and Air Force (16/1) are the next tier of challengers
in the MWC, while Colorado State (25/1), Wyoming (33/1), UNLV (80/1), and New
Mexico (150/1) are farther back on the chart. TCU at least has running back Ed Wesley for another season,
after he rushed for 1,063 yards with 11 touchdowns in 2010. And the school
hasn't been completely written off as a title contender for this year, as
they're at 30/1 on the NCAA football
futures to win the national championship. On the props market, the Horned Frogs' OVER/UNDER total for the season is set
at nine wins. They'll be looking for their first win on Friday, September 2 when
they play on the road against Baylor; the Bodog Sportsbook will have the line
and total.First, they no longer have quarterback Andy Dalton at the
helm. Dalton threw for 2,857 yards last season with 27 touchdowns and just six
interceptions, and was then made a second-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals
in the NFL Draft. Sophomore Casey Pachall takes the reins this
season.
