The Hawaii Warriors' path to the WAC championship will be a little easier this year thanks to all the conference shuffling that went on in the offseason, but will they be able to pay off on the NCAA football odds at the Bodog Sportsbook?

The Western Athletic Conference is down to eight teams for this season, with perennial powerhouse Boise State off to the Mountain West Conference. The Warriors shared the WAC championship with Boise State and Nevada last season, as each of those schools finished with a 7-1 record in conference play. Hawaii went 10-4 overall.

That was enough to earn the Warriors a berth in the Hawaii Bowl, but playing on their own field wasn't enough as they were pounded 62-35 by Tulsa in that postseason contest.

Greg McMackin's team will be looking to end its season on a more positive note this time around as the school prepares to bid its farewell to the WAC – the football program is off to the Mountain West Conference as well next season.

Guiding the Warriors again this season will be senior quarterback Bryant Moniz, who passed for 5,040 yards with 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions last season. Moniz posted a 159.1 QB rating in 2010.

Moniz's arm will try to carry the Warriors to the WAC championship, but they're not the favourites on the odds list at the Bodog Sportsbook right now to win the conference – that honour belongs to 2/1 Nevada.

Hawaii is next at 5/2 on those college football odds to claim the WAC crown, with Fresno State at 3/1, Louisiana Tech at 6/1, Idaho at 14/1, and San Jose State at 16/1. Utah State (20/1) and New Mexico State (33/1) are the WAC longshots.

The Warriors begin their season at home on Saturday, September 3. The Bodog Sportsbook has the line and total for that contest as kickoff approaches.
