Heisman candidate Robert Griffin III and his high-scoring
Baylor Bears will try to rebound from a tough defeat when they welcome the Iowa
State Cyclones to Floyd Casey Stadium in Week 6 college
football betting action this Saturday night. Griffin added some more impressive numbers to his glittering resume last week, completing 23-of-31 passing attempts for 346 yards and five touchdowns, but it was his first interception of the season that came at a very costly moment for the Bears in their 36-35 loss to Kansas State. The Wildcats took advantage of that turnover and went on to kick a
game-winning field goal with just over three minutes remaining, as Baylor
suffered its first loss of the season. Senior WR Kendall Wright
hauled in nine receptions for 201 yards and three touchdowns in the
defeat. Nonetheless, Griffin continues to lead the nation with 18 touchdown passes,
an 82.3 completion percentage (93-of-113), and an astronomical QB rating of
230.3. He also ranks 20th overall with 1,308 passing yards. The Bears
had scored 154 points in three wins prior to last week’s loss. Meanwhile the Cyclones are also sporting a 3-1 SU record after falling at
home 37-14 to Texas last week, a game that was all but over at halftime with the
Longhorns racing out to a 34-0 lead. Iowa State QB Steele Jantz
completed 28-of-51 passing attempts for 251 yards with one touchdown and one
pick, with WR Darius Reynolds catching six tosses for 70 yards
and RB James White rushing for 64 yards on 11 carries with one
touchdown. Baylor, which fell from No. 15 to No. 25 in the AP rankings with the loss to
Kansas State, are 4-0 ATS when facing the Cyclones at home in their past four
matchups dating back to 1996. Get all your college
