Mississippi State improved their record to 2-2 SU (1-3 ATS) on the season by getting past Louisiana Tech 26-20 in overtime at home over the weekend.

Chris Relf went 14-of-29 for 164 yards passing with one touchdown and one interception for Mississippi State in that victory, while Vick Ballard ran for 68 yards and a score. LaDarius Perkins had the TD catch in overtime to give his team the win.

Louisiana Tech (yet another Bulldogs team), however, is in the Western Athletic Conference; Mississippi State lost their previous two outings against SEC teams, falling 41-34 to Auburn and 19-6 to LSU. They stomped on Memphis 59-14 in their opener.

Georgia (2-2 SU, 2-2 ATS) has split two games against SEC opponents so far this season, losing to South Carolina 45-42 back in Week 2 but knocking off Mississippi 27-13 on the road over the weekend.

QB Aaron Murray led the way for Georgia in their victory over the Rebels, completing 17 of his 26 pass attempts for 268 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and also running for a score. Isaiah Crowell rushed for 147 yards on 30 carries on the day, while Orson Charles and Aron White had the TD catches.

The last time Georgia and Mississippi State met on the gridiron last September it was Mississippi State winning 24-12 at home behind 135 passing yards and 97 rushing yards from Relf. Murray threw for 274 yards and a touchdown in that defeat.
