After throwing a scare into the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Ohio State Buckeyes
will look to upset the Illinois Fighting Illini this Saturday afternoon in Week
7 college
football betting action at Memorial Stadium. Ohio State coughed up a 27-6 third-quarter lead to fall to Nebraska 34-27 on Saturday night in Lincoln, as the Buckeyes slipped to 3-3 SU (3-3 ATS) on the season. Freshman QB Braxton Miller rushed for 91 yards and threw for another 95 yards as he led the Buckeyes to their big lead before injuring his ankle and being forced from the game. Backup Joe Bauserman completed just one of his ten passing attempts and threw an interception as well as Nebraska came roaring back
to win. The Fighting Illini (6-0 SU, 3-3 ATS) continued their impressive season to
date by pounding Indiana 41-20 on the road. Illinois QB Nathan
Scheelhaase completed 12-of-22 passing attempts for 210 and three
touchdowns, including a pair of scoring bombs to WR A.J.
Jenkins in the first half. Jenkins finished with six catches for 182
yards. While Illinois is unbeaten so far and has risen to No. 16 in the latest AP
Top 25 rankings, it is Ohio State that has dominated the head-to-head matchups
of these fierce Big Ten rivals. The Buckeyes have won six of their past seven
clashes straight up since 2002, including a 24-13 victory last October at
Memorial Stadium. But the betting numbers tell another tale, as Illinois is 5-1 ATS in its past
five meetings at home against Ohio State, and the Fighting Illini are also 7-3
ATS in their past ten games overall against the Buckeyes. Get all your college
