Two teams coming off discouraging losses will both be trying to get back on
track when the Utah Utes travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers on
Saturday in Week 7 college
football betting action at Heinz Field. Pittsburgh (3-3 SU, 2-4 ATS) was blasted 34-10 by Rutgers on Saturday, suffering its third loss in the past four games after opening the season with victories over Buffalo and Maine. After a pair of close losses at Iowa and at home to Notre Dame, the Panthers routed then-No. 16 ranked South Florida 44-17, before continuing their Jekyll-and-Hyde act with the lopsided loss at Rutgers. Utah (2-3 SU, 1-4 ATS) has also dropped three of its past four games,
including Saturday’s 35-14 beatdown at the hands of then-No.22 ranked Arizona
State. The Utes have also been defeated by Washington and USC, while managing to
register wins over Montana State and Brigham Young. The Utes defeated the visiting Panthers 27-24 in overtime last year, a game
in which QB Jordan Wynn completed 21-of-36 passing attempts for
283 yards and three touchdowns. Pittsburgh pivot Tino Sunseri
connected on 16 of his 28 throws for 184 yards and one major. Joe
Phillips kicked a game-winning 21-yard field goal to provide the margin
of victory for Utah, after Panthers K Dan Hutchins had tied the
game on the final play of the fourth quarter with a 30-yard field goal. Utah also knocked off Pittsburgh back in their previous meeting back in 2005,
covering easily as 14-point home favorites in a 35-7 victory. Get all your college
