Oklahoma trounced Texas in their meeting on the college
football betting board over the weekend, and Kansas was pummelled in their
matchup with Oklahoma State. So how badly are the Sooners going to beat the
Jayhawks on Saturday night? This one could get ugly quick. The unbeaten Sooners (5-0 SU, 4-1 ATS) ran roughshod over a ranked Longhorns team on Saturday, taking a 34-10 lead into halftime at the Cotton Bowl and then cruising from there to a 55-17 victory. Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones had no trouble moving the
ball against Texas, completing 31 of his 50 pass attempts for 367 yards with
three touchdowns and no interceptions. On the season Landry has now thrown for
1,814 yards in five games and put up a TD/INT ratio of 13/5. Dominique Whaley rushed for 83 yards and a score on 13
carries for Oklahoma on Saturday, and Ryan Broyles caught nine
balls for 122 yards and a touchdown. Kenny Stills had a pair of
TD catches in the win. The Jayhawks (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS) were burned for five touchdowns in the first
quarter over the weekend as they were blasted 70-28 on the road by Oklahoma
State. Kansas actually opened the scoring in that contest with a Jordan
Webb touchdown pass, but were down 56-7 at halftime. Webb went 25 of 36 for 316 yards through the air for Kansas in Saturday's
loss, with two TD strikes and two interceptions. Tony Pierson
and James Sims both ran for scores, while Tim
Biere and JaCorey Shepherd had TD catches. Oklahoma and Kansas last met in October 2009 when both teams were ranked in
the Top 25 of the AP Poll, with the Sooners winning 35-13 on the road as an
8.5-point favorite on the college
football betting lines at the Bodog Sportsbook. Overall Oklahoma is 5-0 straight up and 4-1 against the spread in its last
five games against Kansas. Get all your college
