Probably the best college basketball matchup of Tuesday night comes from Madison Square Garden in New York when unbeaten and 10th-ranked Missouri faces Villanova. The Tigers are 7-point favorites on Bodog’s NCAA basketball betting odds and there will be live betting available.

Missouri (7-0) has looked like the Big 12’s best team so far under first-year coach Frank Haith, as the Tigers have yet to win a game by less than 15 points. That includes a 92-53 destruction of then-ranked California on Nov. 22 in Kansas City. And the Tigers already blasted a Big East team, beating Notre Dame 87-58 the night before that Cal win. Behind leading scorer Marcus Denmon, a Big 12 Player of the Year candidate, Mizzou is No. 5 in the nation in field-goal percentage and No. 6 in scoring (86.3). Missouri looks to improve to 8-0 for the first time since the 2006-07 season and the 15th time overall.

Villanova (5-2) had lost back-to-back games to Saint Louis and Santa Clara in the 76 Classic in Anaheim, Calif., before the Wildcats bounced back with a 73-65 win over city rival Penn on Saturday. Junior big man Mouphtaou Yarou led the way vs. Penn with 21 points and 11 rebounds. It was the fourth time in seven outings this season that Yarou has delivered a double-double. Villanova only used two forward in the entire game vs. Penn. Nova could have a short bench again in this one. Reserve forwards Maurice Sutton and Markus Kennedy sat out vs. Penn and Sutton won’t be back for a while. Kennedy is day-to-day.

This will be the second matchup between these schools. Mizzou won the first one, 72-53, way back on Dec. 28, 1985. Missouri is 1-4 ATS in its past five vs. the Big Beast. Nova is 1-6 ATS in its past seven non-conference games.
