The second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes already have two impressive wins over
ranked teams so far this season – but those came at home. On Saturday, OSU makes
its first road trip of the season and it’s a dandy: at No. 13 Kansas, certainly
one of the Top 5 toughest places to play in the nation. Bet on the game with
Bodog’s NCAA basketball odds.

The Buckeyes (8-0) handled then-No. 8 Florida by
seven back on Nov. 16 and throttled No. 4 Duke 85-63 on Nov. 29 in probably the
most dominant performance by any team so far this season. And OSU warmed up for
this one with an easy 64-35 win over Texas-Pan American last Saturday. Buckeyes
superstar Jared Sullinger, probably the early candidate for
Player of the Year, sat that one out with back spasms but will play in this one.
Sullinger has been averaging 19.1 points and 10.3 rebounds.
Kansas (6-2)
has faced two ranked teams this year as well but lost both on a neutral court:
75-65 to then-No. 2 Kentucky on Nov. 15 and 68-61 to those Duke Blue Devils in
Maui. The Jayhawks have won three in a row since the Duke loss but were pushed
on Tuesday night at home by Long Beach State before prevailing 88-80. KU has its
own superstar in Thomas Robinson and he had a career-high 26
points to go with 11 boards against LBSU. The Sullinger-Robinson matchup should
be fascinating.
KU and OSU haven’t met since 2000. The Bucks are 3-1 ATS
this year, all at home. Kansas is 4-4 ATS and 3-1 ATS at home (LBSU covered). If
OSU wins and Kentucky loses later Saturday at Indiana, the Buckeyes are the
nation’s top team.
