The Miami Heat won’t know until Monday afternoon whether star guard
Dwyane Wade will be able to play in tonight’s Game 2
of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight.
Wade missed practice Sunday with symptoms of a migraine. He played in Game 1
with a persistent headache and had 17 points in 35 minutes of Miami’s 97-89
victory. The Heat are 9.5-point favorites on Bodog’s NBA odds for tonight’s
matchup. Wade has missed practice time and games in the past due to migraines and has suffered from the condition since his days at Marquette. This season, he missed a game against the Raptors on Jan.22 because of a migraine and needed several days to fully recuperate. If Wade does play Monday, as his teammates expect, he may have to wear tinted goggles to reduce glare. Wade practiced with goggles earlier this season and wore them against the Knicks five days after missing the game against Toronto.
He scored 34 points against New York with them on even though he admitted he’s not real comfortable wearing them. Wade did take part in some of Miami’s shootaround on Monday morning so look
for him to go. He will get an on-court workout Monday afternoon to test himself
before a final decision on his availability is made. The Heat lost to Milwaukee
90-85 on April 6 in that game Wade missed because of an injury. James
Jones started in place of Wade against the Bucks and scored five points
in 33 minutes. He would again tonight. But Heat coach Erik Spoelstra
made it sound like Wade would play. "He just did some light shooting but he is feeling significantly better,"
Spoelstra said Monday morning. How much will Wade score tonight? Bet on that prop now at Bodog!
