If you want to know why most coaches like to rest their top players in
meaningless end of season games, you can check out the Chicago Bulls’ matchup
with the New York Knicks on Tuesday night. Yes, the Bulls won their eighth
straight game, but they also saw starting center Joakim Noah
roll his ankle and reserve guard Ronnie Brewer sprain
his thumb. But Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau wants to keep his players in a normal routine and he also may have another agenda in mind: the top overall seed in the NBA. And thanks to Chicago’s win over New York and San Antonio’s loss to the Lakers, that’s now in the Bulls’ reach with a win tonight in the regular-season home finale vs. the New Jersey Nets. Bet on this game with Bodog’s NBA odds. Chicago really shouldn’t have much trouble with New Jersey, which is without
star point guard Deron Williams and is one of the East's worst
teams. Brewer is probably not going to play tonight but says he will be fine for
the playoffs. Noah is a question mark too but says his ankle is OK – in fact he
was set to re-enter the Knicks game but the clock never stopped before the game
ended. Derrick Rose scored 26 against New York. The MVP favorite is
shooting 63.9 percent over his last two games. The Bulls have limited teams to
89.2 points during a 20-2 stretch. New Jersey is 3-30 when scoring 90 points or
less. Chicago goes for its first nine-game winning streak since 2005. If the Spurs (at Phoenix) and Bulls finish with the same record, a random
drawing would determine who got homecourt advantage in the NBA Finals. Get the best NBA props always at Bodog
