The Miami Heat started the season as the championship favorite on the NBA betting
odds, lost a bit of their lustre with a mediocre start to the campaign, but
then capped off a surge by bouncing the Celtics from the playoffs. However, they now trail the Chicago Bulls 1-0 in the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals heading into Game 2 on Wednesday night. The Heat sit tied atop the Bodog NBA
championship odds at 2/1, but if they throw up a second straight stinker on
Wednesday the Bulls should overtake them on that list – Chicago is at 2/1 odds
right now to grab the title. Not much went right for Miami in Game 1 on Sunday, especially in the second
half when they were dominated by Chicago in the eventual 103-82 defeat.
Chris Bosh had 30 points for the Heat in that game, while the
rest of the starting lineup managed to score just 38 points. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James combined to
hit just 12 of their 32 shots. Joakim Noah grabbed 14 rebounds for Chicago in Sunday's win,
while Derrick Rose led the way with 28 points and six assists.
Luol Deng shook off a back injury to score 21 points. Chicago is listed as a 2-point favorite for Game 2, with the game's total at
181 points. There'll be another long break before Game 3 of this series, which takes
place in Miami on Sunday night. Game 4 is then next Tuesday in Miami, before the
teams head back to Chicago (if necessary) for Game 5 next Thursday. Get all your NBA odds at
