The Miami Heat have the best odds to win
the NBA championship at 3/2, and they could get one step closer by beating
the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their series on Wednesday. Miami grabbed a 3-1 series lead with a 98-90 overtime victory on Monday. The Heat looked completely lifeless in their Game 3 loss, but it was a different story in Game 4. In Game 3, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and
Chris Bosh arguably had their worst combined game since joining
forces. The trio managed just 44 points and 18 rebounds in total, well below
their playoff averaged of 67.2 combined points and 26.4 combined rebounds. The
Big Three more than made up for it on Monday, racking up 83 total points and 35
total rebounds. No other Miami player scored more than four points, but they
didn't have to. With Boston on the cusp of elimination, Miami could see its NBA
championship odds improve even more if Udonis Haslem can
round into form. Haslem had been out since November after undergoing foot
surgery, but he suited up and played three minutes in Game 4. His impact was
minimal, but Haslem averaged 8.0 points and 8.2 rebounds before going down with
the injury. He’d give Miami another role player and some nice size to face a
team like Chicago. Boston, meanwhile, is probably due to turn the page and start rebuilding. The
Celtics looked old and sluggish on Monday, particularly Kevin
Garnett. Garnett destroyed Miami with 28 points and 18 rebounds in Game
3 but, instead of working down low again, he hung to the fringes. The veteran
went 1-for-10 with just seven points. Get all your NBA odds at
