The Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers will hook up in an NBA betting
matchup in the first round of the playoffs. The Bulls won three of their four
matchups with Indiana this season and look like the team to beat in the Eastern
Conference—and maybe the entire NBA. Chicago (62-20, 50-31-1 ATS) can get it done at both ends of the floor. The Bulls were among the NBA’s best defensive teams, largely thanks to some fantastic rebounding by Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer. And while the club didn’t crack the Top 10 in scoring, they can rack up points in a hurry thanks to Derrick Rose. Rose enjoyed what might end up becoming an MVP campaign. The third-year guard
set career highs across the board this season and firmly established himself as
one of the best guards in the NBA, if not the best. But while it’s a given Rose will play well, other crucial players are needed
to step up. Boozer’s first season in the Windy City had mixed results. He played
fantastic during the first half of the season, averaging 19.3 points per game,
but his scoring average was four points lower after the All-Star break. Chicago
needs Boozer at his best. Indiana (37-45, 37-42-3 ATS) is solid but far from spectacular. The club was
middle-of-the-pack in both scoring and defense, though it’s one of the few teams
in the NBA that can hang with Chicago on the glass. The Pacers had five different players average double figures in scoring this
year, but they don’t have an elite talent like Rose who can take over a series.
Danny Granger is the closest you’ll get, but he’s too
inconsistent—a good player on a mediocre team, unlike Rose, who is a great
player on a very good team. Get all your NBA odds at
