Bowl at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee this Friday.

The Bulldogs (6-6 SU, 6-6
ATS) dropped two of their final three games against stiff SEC competition to
wind up 2-6 in conference play and ahead of only Ole Miss in the SEC West
standings. Those two losses came at the hands of Alabama (then-ranked No. 3 in
the nation) and Arkansas (then-ranked No. 6), before the Bulldogs bounced back
with a 31-3 rout of Ole Miss in their final matchup.
While the
Mississippi State defense ranked 18th in the FBS at preventing scoring (19.9
points per game), the offense struggled to score at 72nd overall (25.5 points
per game) and the passing attack was a feeble 92nd in the nation (186.3 yards
per game).
The Demon Deacons (6-6 SU, 7-5 ATS) lost four of their final
five games (and five of their last seven) to wind up finishing behind Clemson in
the Atlantic Division of the ACC. Since beating Duke back on October 22, the
only victory for Wake Forest came in a 31-10 defeat of a dismal Maryland team on
November 19.
Wake Forest ranked 62nd overall in scoring (26.8 points per
game) and 68th in points allowed (27.8 points per game), with the passing attack
proving to be a team strength at 37th in the FBS (255.6 yards per
game).
The Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their past four Bowl appearances,
while the UNDER is 4-0 in the past four Demon Deacons’ games
overall.
