New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was given a precautionary concussion test after the Jets’ shocking comeback win over the Cowboys on Sunday night, but the QB passed and will start Sunday’s game in Jacksonville. New York opened as a 9-point favorite on Bodog’s NFL odds.

The Cowboys defense gave the Jets fits all game. Sanchez was sacked four times and hit plenty more. Sanchez was 26 of 44 for 335 yards and touchdown tosses to Dustin Keller and Plaxico Burress in the 27-24 win. It was only the third time in Jets history that they came back from 14-plus points down in the 4th quarter to win. The other two games were November 21, 1983, against the Saints (came back from 14 down to win, 31-28), and October 23, 2000, against the Dolphins (from 23 down to win, 40-37).

The Jaguars, meanwhile, beat Tennessee 16-14 in their opener. The Jacksonville defense was dominant for about three quarters and held Titans star RB Chris Johnson to 24 yards on nine carries. New starting QB Luke McCown simply managed the game and didn’t make mistakes. He was 17 of 24 for 175 yards with no picks. RB Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 24 times for 97 yards, including a TD, but he sat out most of the fourth quarter because Coach Jack Del Rio wants to limit his touches. MJD played with a torn meniscus most of last season. The Jaguars had more rushing attempts than the Jets had rushing yards (45) in Week 1.

New York might catch a break in that star Jags tight end Marcedes Lewis is questionable after suffering a calf strain the opener. Lewis had two receptions for 28 yards Sunday. Last season, he had 58 receptions for 700 yards. His catches in 2010 accounted for 37 first downs and 10 TDs. Lewis would be a matchup problem for the Jets, much like Dallas tight end Jason Witten (110 yards receiving) was on Sunday.
