Roy Halladay will be looking to add the Colorado Rockies to
his victims list for this season when he takes to the mound for the Philadelphia
Phillies on the road on Wednesday afternoon for this MLB betting
matchup. Righthander Halladay (13-4, 2.44 ERA) is 2-0 with a tiny 0.77 ERA in three
career starts against the Rockies, and he's coming off a typically dominant
outing against the Pirates in Philadelphia – one hit and no walks over seven
shutout innings in a victory.
Overall the Phillies are 9-1 in Halladay's last 10 trips to the mound as he
continues to pay off for his backers in a big way at the Bodog Sportsbook. The
righthander's lone blemish over that span came on July 18 at Wrigley Field when
he gave up three runs over four innings of work in a loss to the Cubs.
Halladay's efforts have helped the Phillies stay at the top of the World Series
odds at the Bodog Sportsbook, where they're listed at 9/4 to win the
championship this season. Philly is also at 1/1 on the NL Pennant odds right
now.
The Rockies, meanwhile, have fallen out of playoff contention in the National
League and sit back at 75/1 on the World Series
odds board and at 40/1 to claim the NL Pennant.
Colorado goes with Jason Hammel (6-10, 4.65 ERA) in
Wednesday's contest, and he shook off a two-game losing streak by beating the
Padres in San Diego last time out (two runs over 6 1-3 innings of work).
The Rockies have won just four of Hammel's last 10 trips to the mound, and he
has a 5.40 career ERA against the Phillies. Head over to the Bodog Sportsbook
