The A's have bounced back from a poor start to June with improved play over the past week, and they'll be looking for Graham Godfrey (1-0, 4.76 ERA) to give them a solid start on Thursday.

Righthander Godfrey picked up his first big-league victory last time out, holding the Giants to two runs (one earned) on six hits over seven innings of work. Godfrey settled for a no-decision in his Major League debut against the White Sox on June 10, surrendering five runs on nine hits in 4 1-3 innings pitched in that contest.

Heading to the hill for the Mets on Thursday will be Chris Capuano (5-7, 4.29 ERA).

Lefthander Capuano lost to the Angels in his most recent outing, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits over six innings of work. Capuano lost his other interleague start as well, giving up six runs over 5 1-3 innings against the Yankees on May 21.

Overall, New York is a money-losing 3-7 over Capuano's last 10 trips to the mound, despite the fact the lefthander gave up two or fewer earned runs in seven of those games.

On the MLB futures at Bodog, the Mets are well down the World Series odds list at 150/1 as they jostle with the Nationals and Marlins in the bottom of the NL East standings. New York is also at 75/1 odds to win the NL Pennant.

The Athletics, in last place in the AL West but still within shouting distance of top spot in the division, are at 50/1 odds on the Bodog World Series odds and at 25/1 to claim the AL Pennant.
