Back in their familiar haunts at the bottom of the AL Central standings, the
Kansas City Royals will send Bruce Chen to the mound on
Wednesday afternoon for their MLB betting
matchup on the road against the White Sox. Chen (4-2, 3.46 ERA) can't shoulder much of the blame for the Royals' woes, as Kansas City is 6-3 over the lefthander's nine starts so far this season. Against the Padres on the road last time out Chen was burned for four unearned runs on eight hits over six innings of work in a loss. Taking the mound for the White Sox on Wednesday will be Edwin
Jackson (5-6, 4.24 ERA), who got himself back into the win column last
time out by holding the Cubs to four runs on five hits over six innings of work
in a start at Wrigley Field. Righthander Jackson had been a poor betting option prior to his start against
the Cubs, as the White Sox were tagged with the loss in each of his five
previous outings. Overall the ChiSox are just 3-7 in Jackson's last 10 trips to
the mound, although he did manage to give up two or fewer runs in six of those
contests. The White Sox look like they'll head into the All-Star Break in third place
in the AL Central standings, winning just enough of late to stay within shouting
distance of the Indians and the Tigers in the division. And that might be enough of an opening for White Sox supporters to grab their
team at 28/1 on the latest World Series
odds at Bodog. Chicago is also at 15/1 on the AL Pennant odds. As for the Royals, they're a lucrative 200/1 on the World Series odds list
and 100/1 on the AL Pennant odds. Those lines might be tempting if Kansas City
wasn't the worst team in the American League once again. Get all your MLB odds at
