Max Scherzer will be gunning for his 10th win of the season
on Tuesday night when his Detroit Tigers continue their interleague MLB betting
matchup on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Scherzer improved his record to 9-2 (with a 4.32 ERA) on the season with a victory over the Indians last time out, holding the Tribe to two runs on four hits over 5 2-3 innings of work. The righthander has now won three straight starts, and Detroit is 4-0 in his
past four trips to the mound as he makes money for his supporters. Scherzer won a career-high 12 games in 2010 over 31 starts. Countering for the Dodgers on Tuesday night will be Chad
Billingsley, who has been completely ineffective over his past two
starts. Righthander Billingsley (5-6, 4.65 ERA) was pounded in back-to-back outings
by the Reds and Rockies, surrendering a combined 13 runs on 22 hits over just 8
2-3 innings of work. Billingsley fanned six but walked five in those
contests. Prior to that bump in the road Billingsley had actually been paying off for
bettors, winning three straight starts from May 24 to June 5 over the Astros,
Rockies, and Reds. Los Angeles remains mired at the bottom of the Bodog MLB
futures list, sitting at 100/1 odds to win
the World Series and at 50/1 odds to claim the NL Pennant. The Dodgers are
fourth in the NL West and well back in the NL Wild Card standings. The Tigers, meanwhile, are at 11/1 to win the AL Pennant and at 20/1 to win
the World Series as they try to move past the Indians and into top spot in the
AL Central standings. Get all your MLB odds at
