Ubaldo Jimenez didn't impress in his first start as a member
of the Cleveland Indians last time out. The righthander will get a chance to
redeem himself on Wednesday when the Tribe continue their MLB
betting series at home against the Detroit Tigers. Righthander Jimenez (6-9, 4.64 ERA) faced the Rangers last time out, picking up a no-decision after allowing five runs on seven hits over five innings of work. Cleveland ending up losing that game 8-7. Jimenez took on the Tigers in interleague play as a member of the Rockies
back on June 18, winning that game after giving up three runs on eight hits over
five innings. Cleveland still has designs on passing the Tigers for top spot in the AL
Central standings by the end of the season, but they're well back at 22/1 on the
AL Pennant odds at the Bodog Sportsbook. The Indians also sit at 40/1 odds to
win the World Series. Sitting in first place in the AL Central, the Tigers are pegged at 18/1 on
the World Series
odds chart, and at 9/1 to win the AL Pennant. Heading to the hill for the Tigers on Wednesday will be Rick
Porcello (11-6, 4.49 ERA), with Detroit on a roll when he takes to the
mound lately – they're 6-0 in his past six starts. Righthander Porcello took a no-decision in Kansas City last time out, giving
up three runs on seven hits over 6 1-3 innings of work. The Tigers won that game
4-3. Back on April 30 in Cleveland Porcello gave up two runs over seven innings
in a no-decision. Check the Bodog Sportsbook for the MLB betting
lines and totals for this series, and for updates on the World Series
futures board.
