Thanks to Jacoby Ellsbury, the Boston Red Sox have taken exciting walk-off victories the past two nights against the Cleveland Indians. Could Ellsbury possibly do it again in the series finale tonight vs. the Tribe? Boston is a -175 favorite on Bodog’s MLB baseball odds.

Ellsbury hit a two-out solo home run on Wednesday night to give Boston a 4-3 win less than 24 hours after his ninth-inning one-out RBI single handed the Red Sox a 3-2 victory. Ellsbury is the first Sox player since David Ortiz in October 2004 against the Yankees to deliver back-to-back walk-off hits on consecutive nights. Adrian Gonzalez added two hits Wednesday and is batting .500 (27-for-54) during his career-best 13-game hitting streak. It Boston’s 10th win in its past 14 games and eighth walk-off of the season, and kept the Sox a game ahead of the Yankees in the American League East with the two teams starting a series on Friday.

Meanwhile, Cleveland’s Jason Kipnis set a record Wednesday. Kipnis, who made his major-league debut on July 22, extended his home-run streak to four consecutive games. He is the first player in major-league history to homer in four consecutive games within two weeks of his debut. Kipnis also matched the longest home-run streak ever recorded by an Indians rookie.

Tonight’s pitching matchup features Cleveland ace Justin Masterson (8-7, 2.56) vs. new Red Sox lefty Erik Bedard (4-7, 3.45). Masterson held the Royals to two runs and nine hits in eight innings of a no-decision on Saturday in his last start. The right-hander ranks fourth in the American League in ERA and seventh in innings pitched. Bedard was acquired at the trade deadline from Seattle. Lifetime at Fenway, Bedard is 2-3 with a 6.99 ERA in six starts.
